To help keep Rhythm & Vines safe, some items are allowed in the campgrounds, some are only allowed in certain areas, and some are not permitted anywhere onsite.
Security will be checking vehicles, bags, camping equipment, and belongings on arrival. Prohibited items will be confiscated and may not be returned.
What you should bring
- Your valid Rhythm & Vines ticket.
- A valid physical photo ID, such as a driver licence, passport, or Kiwi Access Card.
- Your camping gear if you are staying onsite, unless you have booked a pre-pitched accommodation option.
- Weather-appropriate clothing.
- Personal medication, if required.
- An empty drink bottle.
- A charged phone and portable charger.
- Any relevant booking confirmations for camping, parking, premium upgrades, or add-ons.
What you can bring into the campgrounds
If you are staying in onsite camping, you may bring:
- Your tent and camping gear.
- Bedding and sleeping equipment.
- A reasonable quantity of snacks or food that does not require cooking.
- Unopened non-alcoholic canned drinks, limited to six per person.
- An empty drink bottle.
- A gazebo, provided it is safely set up and fits within your allocated camping area.
- Personal toiletries and basic camping supplies.
What you can bring into the festival arena
You should only bring the essentials into the festival arena.
- Your festival wristband.
- Your valid physical photo ID.
- An empty drink bottle.
- Your phone.
- A small bag, if required.
- Essential personal medication, if required.
Food, drinks, camping equipment, gazebos, and other campground items should remain in the campground. Items permitted in the campground may not be permitted inside the festival arena.
What is not permitted onsite
- BYO alcohol.
- Glass bottles or glass containers.
- Cooking equipment, gas bottles, open flames, fire pits, BBQs, or solid-fuel burners.
- Weapons of any kind.
- Illegal drugs or drug paraphernalia.
- Fireworks, flares, or explosives.
- Drones.
- Laser pointers.
- Generators.
- Large sound systems or speakers.
- Hammers, mallets, or tools that could be considered unsafe by festival security.
- Oversized marquees or structures.
- Animals, except registered assistance dogs approved by Rhythm & Vines before the festival.
- Hi-vis clothing, uniforms, or clothing that could make you appear to be festival staff, security, or emergency services.
- Gang patches, colours, or insignia.
- Professional camera, audio, or recording equipment without prior approval.
- Any item considered dangerous, unsafe, or unsuitable by festival security.
Prescription Medication
If you need to bring medication, medical equipment, or have specific health requirements, contact us before the festival at hello@rhythmandvines.co.nz so the team can advise you on the best process for entry.
Important information
- BYO alcohol is not permitted anywhere onsite.
- Full drink containers are not permitted through security. Please make sure drink bottles are empty on arrival.
- Glass is not permitted.
- Security may inspect vehicles, bags, camping equipment, and belongings at entry points.
- Prohibited items will be confiscated and may not be returned.
- You may be refused entry or removed from the festival if you bring prohibited items or fail to follow directions from festival staff or security.
